Samsung QN65Q60CAFXZA: 65-inch QLED smart TV
The Samsung QN65Q60CAFXZA is a 65-inch class 4K QLED television with 3 HDMI inputs and Samsung's Tizen smart platform. An LED backlight illuminates the LCD screen. The Quantum Processor Lite 4K handles picture processing, while the TV's menus let you choose settings for films, live programs and connected games. Its cabinet size, connections and picture features help you plan a setup around the way you watch.
Screen technology and 4K detail
Quantum dot color is part of the QLED picture system, working with the backlight and image processing to present color and contrast. Dual LED uses warm and cool backlight tones. The 4K screen has 3840 x 2160 pixels. With a good 4K source, that resolution can reveal fine textures and small details in the image. Lower-resolution shows rely more on the quality of the recording and the TV's processing. Upscaling helps fit those sources to the screen, but it cannot replace all detail missing from the original. For a film night, choose the highest-quality version your player or streaming service offers.
HDR and picture settings
Samsung lists Quantum HDR picture processing. HDR content can carry a wider range of brightness and color information than standard SDR video. The TV, source device and program must support a compatible format to use it. Select the desired picture mode after connecting each source, since a game and a film may call for different settings. Room light also affects how the picture appears: compare the same scene in daytime and evening light before settling on brightness and motion options.
Refresh rate and games
The native refresh rate is 60Hz. Auto Game Mode supports ALLM with compatible sources. A source's frame rate and the panel's refresh rate are different measurements. Check the console or PC output, cable and input settings when using a supported high-frame-rate mode. A faster motion-processing label does not mean that every source plays at that speed. For films, try the cinema-focused settings first; for play, choose the available game settings that suit the connected source and your preference for response and picture detail.
Tizen smart TV and entertainment
Samsung's Tizen interface brings supported apps and connected sources together on the TV. Samsung TV Plus offers supported streamed programming. Online features require internet access, and some apps need accounts or paid subscriptions. Available apps and programs depend on region and can change over time. The built-in interface can handle daily streaming without a separate player, while HDMI leaves room for an external streaming box if you prefer one. A stable home network helps maintain the quality of high-resolution online video.
HDMI and wireless connections
There are 3 HDMI inputs for compatible video sources. USB connectivity is 2 x USB-A. Wireless networking uses Wi-Fi 5. Plan the connections before placing the TV so you can leave room for plugs and cable bends. If a sound system uses an HDMI input, account for that connection when deciding how many players or consoles to keep attached. Choose cables that support the source signal, and use the input labels and on-screen settings to select the right source during daily use.
Sound and control
Built-in speakers handle program audio. Object Tracking Sound Lite is included for TV audio. The built-in sound system lets you use the TV for everyday programs without adding separate speakers. A compatible soundbar or receiver can be useful when you want more output or a different speaker layout. The final result depends on the source audio, room and listening position. Keep voices in mind when adjusting sound: a setting that works well for music may not be your preferred choice for a spoken program.
Dimensions and mounting
Without the stand, the QN65Q60CAFXZA measures 57.1 x 32.7 x 1 inches in width, height and depth and weighs 46.1 lb. With the stand, it measures 57.1 x 34.3 x 10.8 inches and weighs 47 lb. The VESA mounting pattern is 400 x 300 mm. Use these dimensions for furniture and wall-space planning, rather than the screen's class size. Allow space for ventilation and access to cables, and choose a mount suitable for this model and its weight. Stand depth matters when fitting the TV on a narrow surface.
Viewing position and everyday use
Viewing angle and room lighting can affect how the picture looks from a side seat. Check the image from the seats you use most often, especially if the room has a wide sofa or bright windows. The 65-inch class designation describes the screen diagonal, not cabinet width. Place the screen at a comfortable height, then use familiar content to compare settings. Save your preferred source settings.
